Comments on our pitch
We didn't really get comments of how to change it, we mainly got questions asking about the doll Scarlett.
One of the questions was 'How are we going to make the main character look like a doll? our answer was already figured out, we had found a makeup tutorial this was for inspiration of our dolls makeup and hair on halloween. We will also use a doll costume which has a victorian look to it with puffy sleeves. The makeup will be applied by myself the hair by Amber and the costume advised by beth. The costume is provided by my friend who had worn it to halloween previously.
Paul asked how we would show that the doll is Scarlett within the opening. Well in the opening right at the beginning when the boy asks if they want to hear a scary story one of the boys will say 'you all know the story of Scarlett? The doll girl who was left right hear hundreds of years ago. this indicates that when the flash forward occurs and Scarlett the doll appears the audience will know who she is.
The doll is a girl who is a demon who kills people due to her haunted past. Throughout the whole film there are flash backs where the audience find out about her haunted past.
On thursday in our practical we will be trying out the shots which are point of view shots where there is a person behind someone. Also the shots on the swing where the swing is swinging but you cant see anybody. This will allow us to test out pushing the swinging then running out of the shot.
